New & Good on the Menu

Killer Burgers! {or is that a Burger Killer?}

DMVBurgerWars is a great site devoted to all things burger in DC.  They came in and tasted our burgers three times and declared them to be the #5 rated burger in DC.  Now they are conducting a "Burger Bracket" face off of the top 64.  We were in a tough bracket that included Palena and Michel Richard's Central.  When the dust settled, the winner of the bracket was..... Dino!  We are the last restaurant, as opposed to "burger joint", standing... they loved our meat, but our edge was the bread {grilled ciabatta}, cheese {Prairie Breeze} and the value {$6 cheaper than Michel Richard's burger which we vanquished} to make the final four!  We think the 10 ounces of all natural, dry aged Roseda beef we use might have had something to do with it as well.

New on the Menu

Grilled Veggie Antipasto

Well, the big news on our menu is that we have some summer veggies starting to come in: garlic scapes, mixed ball zucchini, sugar snaps, broccoli and more are starting.  To show off this bounty, we are making a grilled veggie antipasto.  Each veggie is grilled & seasoned separately. This is one yummy plate of local goodness!

Caprese

Amish grown, high tunnel tomatoes that taste like real tomatoes: both red slicers and persimmon tomatoes {orange in color and full of flavor} interleaved with slices of our fresh Mozzarella di Bufala flown in from Italy multiple times a week make for a great dish!

We would love to see you soon to celebrate the great spring menu now on hand at Dino.

We really believe in the foods we offer, both on a taste basis, but just as importantly, on the basis of how they are farmed, made or fished. Where you spend your food dollars really tells our economy what kind of world you want to live in. We hope you appreciate what we do in this regard.
